In the future how will robots actually see us? There's been a lot of talk about this in terms of a master/slave relationship. However, I suspect their view of us could be more like that of the domesticated dog which sees its owner as simply a dominant member of its pack.

Then again, maybe the robot will be unable to distinguish us from the rest of the background noise of its data field, just as we are normally unable to distinguish the worm from the ground. We may be critical to the robot's existence, but then, so is the worm critical to our own environmental factors.
